We pray these words encourage you
in your walk to press into the Kingdom.

Consider the Lily
thoughts from Lilla Green

As I listened to the rain pounding on the sidewalk, outside my window, I thought to myself....

"God is so faithful. It's almost winter, and here are the latter rains - day in, and day out - and they're blessing the earth with preparation for the long, fallow season of winter ............ How would I feel if I were grass?................ Better yet - what if I were a flower?"  And into my thoughts, came these words...........Consider the lily.........

It is free! It doesn't work. It doesn't toil or sweat. It merely abides in a field. If a lily would talk, it might say these words to you or me.................... ".......Do like me........"

Abide in your field. Stay put. Look up to the heavens. Look up to the Son, as I look up to beams of a celestial sun. Bask in the Father's care, as I bask in earth's heat, and welcome the dew, the small rain, or the showers of rain. Appreciate your position of being the property of God. As I'm abiding, I'm waiting - not trying to help myself increase. Do likewise. Wait in patience. A finite human being can't help the infinite Creator. How can that which is created, help its creator? How can we add to our own selves? ............... "

And this is so true...... If the Lord does not build our temples - our earthly tabernacles - then our status in this world and all our labor, is in vain. The lily is clothed and arrayed not by toiling or spinning, but by simply staying put. It was created beautiful in its time. Likewise, God invites us to taste and see how good He is to us. When we trust God, God performs supernatural deliverances. This is good. When the Lord looks and sees us not toiling or spinning or giving Him advice on how to arrange our lives, God is pleased and He'll see that what we are doing is "very good." Let's be content to abide in the vine - in quietness and in confidence, for this is our source of strength. Let's look to the hills - look to Jesus - the author and finisher of our faith. Let's lift up our heads from a bowed down, defeated position and look in earnest expectation, unto our Potter, our Creator, our Hope! He won't let us down!

Consider the lily!

Is it more precious than the sons and daughters of God who say, "...Abba, Father?"

Is the lily more worthy to be clothed upon with beauty and substance, than we are? Is our Lord so unjust that He'd make us toil and sweat through the trade winds of trials and storms of life, never allowing us to rest in His countenance of grace, from time to time? Is God a covert and a shelter for the lilies, forsaking all the rest of His creation?

How come it seems like some people thrive spiritually and naturally, while others barely survive? If we ask the lily, it would say -  "....... Since the beginning of time, our forefathers were created and we've been taught to stand still and we'd see the salvation of the Lord....."

What does this say to us?  Don't run from the tempests of mocking, wagging tongues. Don't shrink back from the winds of persecution and difficulties. Allow yourself to sway and bend with the prevailing conditions of whatsoever atmosphere you find yourself abiding in, and TRUST IN GOD'S PROVIDENCE!!!!!

God says to us - "......Did I not promise to be with you always...........?"  "Did I not promise to give you what you ask for if it is not asked to be consumed upon your lusts.......?"  "Did I not create you for my pleasure and for my good?.............."

".......Then look for the sunshine after the rain. Look for the increase after the pelting showers. Look at the field whereon you abide and see how fruitful it is. Lo............ I have made you for these days, and have equipped you to abide in these times. Doubt not, little flock, but lean on me. I shall not fail you. My Word has gone out and it shall not return unto me void. It is right now accomplishing SOMETHING FOR YOU IN YOUR LIFE!!!!

Considering the Lily
by L.E. Green

Fragile ........ delicate.........
Standing upright!
Firmly it sways.....................In the Lord's daylight.

Needs no support;
Only sun and heat;
Its flowers spring forth...................Its growth is complete.

Labor is unknown
To this treasure so rare.
No need to toil;
It's in God's care.

The clouds glide in
To fill up with rain;
There's no need to spin
The showers bring gain.

God's plan is simple
Trust and obey;
Relinquish your labor....................Have faith as you pray.

Then wait and believe;
As a lily - STAND STILL!
Envision deliverance............... from God's holy hill.

Lift up thyself - So beautiful and rare;
Be clothed and arrayed
Through His All-Wise Care!

Consider the lily
Entrenched in its soil;
Then stand in your faith;
Don't even toil.

Don't spin in your mind.....................with anxiety;

Labor not!   Let God's   will be!

We would love to hear from you and what the Lord is speaking to you for the body in this last hour of time.  May the Lord keep you in the palm of His hands.
