The Spirit of Murder is Prevading The Land

As of this writing the sand is about out of the hour glass. As we witness the last few grains trickle into the large pile at the bottom, we know the end of the age is near. The age of grace is coming to an end and the day of judgment is at hand. Most have failed to heed the signs given in God's Word and by His prophets. As this nation plans to go to war, many who call themselves Christian agree with the president that the only option is to eliminate Saddam Hussain. Those who hold to this solution should read their Bible. The prophet Daniel informs us:

"This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever He will, and setteth up over it the bases of men." Daniel 4:17

It is God who rules in the kingdom of men, and it is He who gives rule in these kingdoms to whomsoever He chooses. Daniel tells us, God sets over these kingdoms the basest of men. The word basest means "the lowest in character."

The question each of God's people needs to ask themselves is, "If God put Saddam Hussain where He is, why would any God-fearing believer think this nation, or a coalition of nations would have the right to throw Him down - - - or much worse have in their hearts to kill the man." There is a spirit of murder that has pervaded this land. As God's people, we need to reject this spirit and know God is the Creator. It is His job, alone, to raise up and to destroy. Jesus informed John on the Isle of Patmos that it was He who held the keys to death and hell. He also informed John:

"He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints." Revelation 13:10

We should always remember one of the main tenants of our faith is, "Thou shalt not kill." If this nation picks up the sword with murder in its heart, then God, too, will pick up His sword against this nation. Moses, by the Spirit of God, warns any man or nation who will hear the words of the Lord:

"If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate Me." Deuteronomy 32:41

We need to make sure we do not become God's enemies by what we allow our minds to dwell on, or agree with. If we still have the foolish conception this nation or the leaders of this nation are Christian, then we will fall into the same trap as others who have rejected the Creator of the whole universe. God warns us through the pen of Isaiah the prophet:

"The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land. A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease." Isaiah 21:1-2

Most scholars agree that Elam and Media speak of the area of Persia which includes Iraq and Iran. God refers to this land as the terrible land. President Bush described them as the axis of evil.

Isaiah recorded the vision God gave him was a grievous vision. He states the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously. Could this speak of Saddam Hussain.

The spoiler that spoileth could be the United States who has their eye on the oil rich land of Iraq.

Could the grievous vision given to Isaiah be the releasing of Saddam's chemical and biological warfare on our troops who will die by the thousands?

As we read on down in Isaiah's vision, we discover what happens to those in the grievous vision:

"And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground." Isaiah 21:9

Babylon is the United States of America. God has given us a few grains of sand in the hour glass of time to repent of our thoughts and our actions. Do not become part of God's judgment upon this nation. We can escape this horrible judgment if we are totally dependant upon God and turn away from depending on the government for our protection. Jesus warned us, and John recorded His words. Speaking of Babylon, we read:

"And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her." Revelation 18:4 & 8

Her plagues (chemical and biological warfare) shall come in one day. There will be death, mourning, and famine, and she shall be utterly burned with fire (nuclear weapons). But we need to remember, it is God's judgment upon the sin in this nation.

When the President OK'd experimenting with life itself (stem cell research), he sealed the fate of this nation. Time is running out at a faster rate then ever before. Look up! The Kingdom of God is at hand.
