                                                                        Our Humpty Dumpty Economy

A friend of ours from Nevada called and said that while he was meditating before the Lord, the Lord spoke to him about Humpty Dumpty. We all know this was a children's nursery rhyme. We know by this nursery rhyme that Humpty Dumpty was a big egg. We also know eggs are very fragile. The Lord related to our friend that Humpty Dumpty was like the economy of the United States, as well as the economies all over the earth. As the nursery rhyme goes, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. Watching the news media, we know the economy of the United States, Europe, and parts of Asia are about to have a great fall. The debt and deficit has grown so large that there are no answers to these problems. Because of this, our Humpty Dumpty economy is about to fall. And as the nursery rhyme goes, all the king's horses and all the king's men could not put Humpty Dumpty back together again. Well, President Obama and Congress and the leaders of the world are not going to be able to put their Humpty Dumpty economies back together again, no matter how noble their intentions are. We are not informed what brought Humpty Dumpty down. Perhaps the wall he was sitting on was slippery, and he could no longer hang on. Or perhaps, it was a strong wind (tornadoes and hurricanes) that blew Humpty Dumpty off the wall. Or perhaps it was an explosion (terror attack) that blew Humpty Dumpty off the wall. Or perhaps it was just words that left Humpty Dumpty unbalanced (Wiki leaks). All we know is that once Humpty Dumpty fell, it was all over for him. No one could put him back together again.

You may say this is only a nursery rhyme, but when we relate it to today's situation, and see how fragile everything has become, perhaps it is a good example of the days ahead. So, if the Lord is warning us of a Humpty Dumpty situation for his people, then what should God's people do? For years this ministry has warned people to get out of debt. It may be a little late to get out of debt for most. So what is the second best solution to the problem we face? We need to look to God's Word for the answer. Luke recorded Jesus' words: "And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man," Luke 17:26. We are living in the same day as it was in the days of Noah. God judged Sodom, Gomorrah, and the cities of the plains because of their sodomite sins, and because the land was filled with violence. This nation is working overtime to invoke God's judgment with their sin and violence. But Paul warned God's People in his letter to the Hebrews:

"By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith." Hebrews 11:7

By faith when Noah was warned of God, he went about to prepare the ark. Why? It was for the saving of his house. Noah not only saved his family from this event, he saved everything God had created so life could go on after the flood. We, too, can become God's heirs of righteousness if we prepare for the saving of our house. As Noah, we need to prepare our house so when this Humpty Dumpty economy and government goes bust, we can save our household. So how do we prepare for this great fall? You need to get food and water stored. When the economy goes, the grocery stores will not last thirty minutes. You also need to get some silver or gold. Why do you think silver and gold are at record highs? It is because those in the know are preparing for what is coming. Space will not allow for a full list of things to prepare, but if you will ask, this ministry will send you a complete list of preparations.

As always in Christ, George and Jeannie Kirkpatrick
