Dear Body,                                                              The Wanderers                                                               July 1, 2011

"Thus saith the Lord GOD; This shall be the border, whereby ye shall inherit the land according to the twelve tribes of Israel. . . " Ezekiel 47:13 And for them, even for the priests, shall be this holy oblation; toward the north five and twenty thousand in length, and toward the west ten thousand in breadth, and toward the east ten thousand in breadth, and toward the south five and twenty thousand in length: and the sanctuary of the LORD shall be in the midst thereof. It shall be for the priests that are sanctified of the sons of Zadok; which have kept my charge, which went not astray when the children of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray." Ezekiel 48:10-11

What is this sanctuary? The sanctuary is God's Holy Place, His holy temple. This place is reserved for His priests who have not gone astray. In the book of Revelation, John tells us who these are:

"These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb." Revelation 14:4

These are those who have been sanctified and have kept His charge. But as we get closer to entering into God's sanctuary, we sadly find that many in the church are going astray. They have wandered off the right path or way. In the book of Psalms, Asaph cried out to God:

" O God, the heathen are come into Thine inheritance; Thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps." Psalm 79:1

Today, the heathen are being invited into the very temple of God. Because of this, the day of God's wrath lies at the door. Ezekiel foretold of these wanderers:

"Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee." Ezekiel 28:18

In Ezekiel 48, verse 11, we discover the sons of Zadok. Who are these sons? The name Zadok means "righteous." God has a righteous remnant who are sanctifying themselves to enter into His holy temple. But many in the church today have left the path of righteousness to establish their own righteousness. Hear the Apostle Paul's cry:

"Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God." Romans 10:1-3

Who are these who have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God?

"And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the Word, and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the Word, and it becometh unfruitful." Mark 4:18-19

There are multitudes in the valley of decision who have sown among thorns, where the cares, riches, and lusts of the world have all but suffocated the Word of God from their lives. Beloved, we need to know that these things will only bring famine into the hearts of God's people, a famine of the Word of God. Hear the words of Amos:

"Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the Word of the LORD, and shall not find it." Amos 8:11-12

Many in the church today are going astray, wandering from church to church. Many seek out every convention and revival to attend, but go home disillusioned, disheartened, and discouraged; not finding God's life-giving Word of life. Beloved, I encourage you to cry out to God for His answers for today's most perplexing problems. Separate unto Him in prayer. Hear Matthew's encouraging words:

"But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." Matthew 6:6. I encourage you to pray to the Father which is in secret, and He shall reward you openly. We need to enter into God's inner chamber and shut the door. Be still and hear His voice. The labor pains are getting closer and closer. Wars and rumors of war, earthquakes, famine, fires, and great storms are the happenings of the day; leading this world and the lukewarm church system to the coming day of wrath. There is, indeed, much confusion and fear in the earth today, but we need to draw ever closer to the Father. Don't wander astray from His Word and His voice. "Seek the LORD, and His strength: seek His face evermore." Psalm 105:4.

After a long winter in Northern Maine, spring time is always a time of refreshing and appreciated. The ministry is continuing to publish the vital words to the body of Christ. We are encouraged by your faithful prayers for direction during this transition time. The many phone calls of encouragement and heart felt concern for all of us here have sustained us at this time. If the Lord lays it on your heart to call, we would appreciate hearing from you.
