Dear Body, Praise Report! June 1, 2008Words can never say how thankful we are to the body who has ministered to us with their prayers during George's recent open heart surgery. We truly have been sustained by all of you. This was definitely a walk in holding on to the promise given us the day of the surgery:
"Blessed is he that considereth (remembereth) the poor (the weak or the sick): the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies (in this case, the enemy was death). The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing (illness): thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness." Psalm 41:1-3
We have experienced every facet of this promise in the days following the surgery. The Lord is so faithful, and His blessings are unending.
George is making steady progress. The heart specialists tell us recuperation generally takes about three months. We are so thankful for the wisdom God has placed in these men. Even through this trial we have been able to share God's total control to many nurses and other care givers. And they have also been a true blessing to us with their caring hearts.
