"But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ." Ephesians 4:15

As we read the words of Paul in his letter to the Ephesians, we understand there is a growing up that must take place in our lives. In this growing process there are changes that must be made. How we handle these changes shows us where we are in the "growing up" process. There are four areas of growth: the baby realm, the teenage realm, the young adult realm, and the mature realm where we become like Christ.

First we fight change. The flesh is not dead. It demands its own way over the spirit. The Apostle Paul explained this in his letter to the churches at Galatia: "For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would." *** Galatians 5:17 God must overcome this resistance to accomplish the spiritual work He is doing in our lives through chastisement. This is where many fail and end up blaming satan for what God is trying to accomplish in their lives. This is the Baby Realm.

Secondly, as we begin to grow in God's Word, we accept change. This is when we realize change is necessary to come again into the image and likeness of God. We begin to accept change in our lives. We may not like the changes God wants to make in our lives, but we have matured enough in our walk to know change is necessary, and we will accept it. This is the Teenage Realm".

Thirdly, we expect change. As we become more proficient in the Word of Life, we know God must change us if we are to become acceptable in His sight. As we come to a deeper understanding of what we must become to enter into His presence, then we know God must change us, so we expect change. This is the Young Adult Realm.

Fourth, and lastly, we demand change. As we grow, we develop such a hunger and thirst to become as our example Jesus, that we cry out to God to remove all obstacles that separate us from His presence. We not only accept change and expect change, we demand changes from God, changes necessary to enter into His Kingdom. This is the Mature Realm where we are made perfect in His sight.

God is laying out the changes each one must make in their life. This is indeed the day God has demanded change if we are going to enter into His glorious kingdom age.
