The Bible speaks of many mysteries. A mystery is an unrevealed truth of God. As God reveals these mysteries unto His people through the Holy Spirit, we begin to understand the deep things of God; and truly the deep is crying unto the deep. I Corinthians 2:10

There have been volumes of books written on God's creation and the fall of man. It seems as though everyone has a thought, an idea, or a revelation of what the creation was all about. Yet, God only used three chapters of His precious Book to explain the creation and man's giant step away from the presence of God, to a fleshly existence.

As we look at the creation through Spiritual eyes, we are taken by the simplistic way God spoke of His creation, of the whole universe, as if it were nothing of any great magnitude to Him. Yet, when we, with our carnal minds, try to understand the simplest things of creation, we face great complexity. We stand in wonder and amazement of the glorious creation that God created.

Since we are man, our interest seems to be more turned toward God's creation of man, than to the rest of His creation. If we were chickens, our question might be, which came first, the chicken or the egg; or are brown eggs really more nutritious than white eggs? But those things are only passing fancies of conversation.

Our real interest is the creation, man; why we are as we are and how can we return to the place of our original creation. We know man was created perfect in the beginning. How do we return to that glorious perfection? Many believe we must die to obtain this state of perfection. Yet, man was created in God's perfection and God intended man to live in that perfection. Death, to obtain it, was not part of God's original plan.

To many, death has become the easy way out. The worldly suicide rate is astronomical. As God's people, we would never even consider it because we know that murder, even of one's self is sin and will keep us from the presence of God. Even though we know this, many say it would be so easy to die and go to be with the Lord.

We are taught that from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh, Luke 6:45.

"For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he." Proverbs 23:7

Do we have the murder of self in our hearts as an easy way out? God looks upon the heart, I Samuel 16:7.

Dying is not God's escape plan for His people. His escape plan is overcoming, rising above this natural plane into the heavenlies (the Spiritual realm) with Him. This is where He created man to dwell. When man allowed himself to be deceived, he fell from the Spiritual realm and was relegated to the realm of flesh where his existence has been since the garden.

Much talk today is about overcoming the flesh. And truly this is the message for today because, if we do not overcome while it is yet called Today, when the New Day arrives, we will not be a part of it. To understand overcoming, we must look at the beginning to understand the end, because the end is the beginning. The book of Revelation relates directly to the book of Genesis.

The word Genesis means "beginnings". The book of Revelation is the Revelation of Jesus Christ. It declares the new beginning of His creation, man, in true righteousness and holiness through the Holy Spirit of God.

When man sinned in the garden, he hid himself from God because he realized he was naked. His nakedness was not because he did not have any clothes on. It was because he had lost his Spiritual covering. We are informed that before the fall, "they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed," Genesis 2:25. Because of the Spiritual covering he had in God's sight, man was not ashamed before God. It was only after this Spiritual anointing was gone that man got his eyes upon the flesh.

The Spiritual covering man had in the garden was the anointing of light.

Most take light for granted. Jesus stated,

"I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." John 8:12

And again,

"As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." John 9:5

Man had the anointing of light in the garden. When he sinned, it was the first time he witnessed darkness. And that darkness made him hide from God. At this point, man began to walk in darkness instead of the light.

Who are those who walk in darkness?

"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved." John 3:19-20

The Adam creation is still hiding from God because their deeds are evil. When they come to the light, their evil deeds are exposed and they realize they have need of a Saviour.

When man sinned, he sowed fig leaves together to make his own covering so that he might stand before God. This was man's self-righteousness. The prophet Isaiah informed us,

"But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities like the wind, have taken us away." Isaiah 64:6

Our self-righteousness before God is as filthy rags and will fade away. Paul spoke to those who, as Adam, were ignorant of God's righteousness.

"For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God." Romans 10:3

Adam and Eve were ignorant of the righteousness of God. They never knew anything but God. But when the covering of light departed, they knew they needed a covering to stand before God. They, as many today, designed their own covering. This is unacceptable in the sight of God.

"Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them." Genesis 3:21

God took the skins of beasts and made coats for Adam and Eve. When man fell from the presence of God, God clothed him with the skins of beasts. Man was clothed upon with the beast nature. The beast nature has been with man ever since. Solomon wrote:

"For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them; as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity." Ecclesiastes 3:19

Solomon, as Adam and Eve, had fallen from the anointing of God. His sensual, beast nature caused him to have 300 wives and 700 concubines. His only desire was the desire of the flesh. His heathen wives turned him from the true God to the worship of idols. As Paul wrote to the Romans:

"The carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be." Romans 8:7

The Law of God is the Word of God and the carnal mind is not subject or in submission to the law of God. The carnal mind is God's enemy. We realize the only thing that can change the carnal mind is the anointing of the Holy Spirit of God which is the anointing of light that Adam had in the garden.

The question arises, "What is light?" Man's answer would be, "Light is energy". And this is true. All light takes energy. Darkness is only the absence of energy or light. Whenever energy is expended it puts off light and heat. So energy is life and the absence of energy is death. Therefore light is life.

John wrote, speaking of Jesus,

"In Him was life; and the life was the light of men." John 1:4

Without God, nothing that has life could exist. So God is the life of the earth. And life is light. We know there is light because, without light, we would be unable to see. But how do we see light? We thank God for men of science. Even though most deny God, the work of science proves that God is an absolute and nothing exists outside of God.

Man has found a way to see light. This is accomplished by putting light through a prism and breaking it down into light bands. These light bands are colors and are called a "light spectrum". When light is broken down, it produces seven colors: violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red. Seven is God's perfect number. Every perfection of God revolves around the number seven. The rainbow God sat in the clouds has His stamp of perfection on it. It was God's promise to man,

"I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh." Genesis 9:15

As we begin to understand the anointing that was lost in the garden, we realize this covering was the spectrum of light. It was removed, but not lost. Adam's sin was the original sin. Three short chapters later in the Bible, we discover where that original sin had led God's creation, man.

"And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart." Genesis 6:5-6

So God destroyed man and all His creation except eight people, and two of all His creation, one male and one female. Only that which was on the ark survived. But God was not through with His creation, man. As a promise to His creation, He set a bow (rainbow) in the clouds for all His creation to see.

The rainbow appears in the clouds only after a rain, when the light is diffused through the raindrops to show the spectrum of light. This was the promised anointing of the Father. Most believe it was a promise that God would never bring a world-wide flood to destroy all mankind again. True, this certainly was God's promise to the flesh. But what was His promise to man in the Spirit? God wanted the whole world to see the promise of His anointing of light that was promised to all those who love His appearing. II Timothy 4:8

Those in the upper room only received the firstfruits; the earnest of the promise of the Father. Those who are operating in the Spirit have this partial outpouring that came on the Day of Pentecost. We are aware of this because the bow still appears when it rains.

God has promised us another rain. Our promise is not in the early rain, nor is our promise in the latter rain. Our promise is that we will receive the early and the latter rain together. The prophet Joel proclaimed:

"Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for He hath given you the former rain moderately, and He will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month." Joel 2:23

We have only received the former rain, moderately. We will receive the former and latter rain in the first month; or in the beginning of that New Day. James informed us of this same revelation in the New Testament:

"Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until He receive the early and latter rain." James 5:7

God has set His promise in the clouds for all the world to see. The rainbow is a covenant God made with all flesh. All flesh, man and beast, have witnessed the rainbow. Some have sought to adulterate this covenant by using it in a perverted way. The new age movement and others use the rainbow as their symbol. They only use six colors. Six is the number of man. Their rainbow does not have the seal of God upon it and it is not God's anointing. It is man's anointing, the anointing of the flesh. It is their "self-righteousness" covering. These who ascribe to the perverted rainbow culture have rejected God's covenant to all flesh and have established their own covenant of the flesh.

There are types and shadows of this anointing used throughout the Old Testament. The first one was the coat of many colors Israel (Jacob) gave to Joseph.

"Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours." Genesis 37:3

The coat of many colors was the sign of the priesthood anointing in the family. All his brothers hated him because of his anointing, having found favour with his father.

It was this coat of many colors, drenched in blood, that Israel recognized to be his son's. Israel recognized this coat of many colors because it was drenched in the blood of Jesus. It is the anointing of the Father and the blood of His Son by which we are recognized. Praise God!

When Israel saw the blood stained coat, he was sure his son had been devoured by a beast. When man falls from the anointing, he still is devoured by that old, beast nature known as the carnal mind of the flesh.

The second use of the coat of many colors was the embroidered coat worn by the high priest in the tabernacle.

Gold      God

Blue       Holy Spirit

Purple    Royalty

Scarlet   Redemptive Blood

Linen represents the Righteousness of the saints. The priesthood anointing, again, revealed the colors of the light spectrum.

The third use of the coat of many colors was the priestly coat Hannah sewed for Samuel from year to year.

"But Samuel ministered before the Lord, being a child, girded with a linen ephod. Moreover his mother made him a little coat, and brought it to him from year to year, when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice." I Samuel 2:18-19

Samuel's coat was also the sign of his priestly anointing. Although it does not state it was a coat of many colors, Samuel's coat was mentioned in connection with his ministry before the Lord. It was more than likely copied after the priesthood robes and was embroidered linen.

The anointing of light, the bow in the clouds, is also around God's throne.

"And He that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald." Revelation 4:3

The rainbow around the throne reveals the anointing and also the power that comes with the anointing. This anointing of light completely surrounds the throne of God and never leaves His presence. It could also serve as a reminder of God's promise to man.

Ezekiel witnessed the throne of God when he was by the river, Chebar.

"As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face and I heard a voice of one that spake." Ezekiel 1:28

Ezekiel reveals the rainbow as the glory of the Lord, His promised anointing to His creation, man. The anointing of light, diffused through the prism of God, reveals Himself to all His creation.

Paul reveals in Romans:

"For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse." Romans 1:20

No man, who has witnessed the rainbow God has set in the heavens, can deny God. They will stand before Him without excuse. The rainbow reveals God's eternal power and Godhead to His creation, man.

God used many examples of spiritual nakedness in His Word. One of these examples was when Moses was in the mount at Mt. Sinai. The people enticed Aaron to make them a golden calf they could worship in the absence of the man of God. When Moses returned, he found Israel naked. It is God's desire that we come into His anointing of light, that we not stand naked before Him.

"And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies.)" Exodus 32:25

Israel was not naked because they did not have any clothes on, they were naked unto their shame among their enemies. They had lost God's anointed covering. God's anointing left and they stood naked and defenseless among their enemies. They had no defence from the work of the enemy in their lives.

Moses called the sons of Levi to go through the camp of Israel and all those who had bowed before the golden calf were destroyed; three thousand men died that day. Moses stood before the people and commanded:

"Consecrate yourselves to day to the Lord, even every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that He may bestow upon you a blessing this day." Exodus 32:29

Israel was directed to repent and come into agreement with God, to cease from their sin that they might receive a blessing from God. He could then return them to their rightful place in Him through the anointing.

In his letter to the Corinthians, Paul spoke of this change God is going to bring upon His people when He, again, anoints His creation man with this anointing of light.

"For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life." II Corinthians 5:1-4

The building not made with hands, eternal in the heavens, is the same Spiritual body that Adam was created with before the flesh was added to till the earth. His Spiritual body was not made with hands. Paul referred to this man as "the inner man", Ephesians 3:16. He further revealed to the Corinthians:

"For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day." II Corinthians 4:16

Our inward man is being renewed by and through the Spirit day by day. It is not our desire to be dissolved or die, but that we be clothed upon, or changed, with this house from heaven, that mortality (apt to die) might be swallowed up of life (immortality). We are going to be clothed upon with the anointing of light which Adam was clothed with from the heavenly, eternal realm. Adam lost this coat. But we are to return to this place in God.

When Jesus was speaking of His people, He used light to describe them.

"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid." Matthew 5:14

We cannot be the light of the world without the anointing of light.

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:16

Letting our light shine will bring glory to our Father. Many desire the anointing so they may bring glory unto themselves. Paul used light in describing God's people:

"For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light." Ephesians 5:8

Every activity of our lives should exude the anointing of light.

"Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light." Colossians 1:12

We are "saints in light". Many will say because of bad teaching, "I thought you had to be dead to be saints!" The exact opposite is true. You must be alive to be saints, alive in Christ and Christ alive in you.

"The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light." Romans 13:12

We are to put on our armour of light. This is our Spiritual armour, our loins girt about with truth, the Spirit of Truth; the breastplate of righteousness, the righteousness of God; our feet shod with the gospel of peace, the everlasting peace that passeth all understanding; the shield of faith, faith that does not waver in the time of battle; the helmet of salvation, our head full of the knowledge of God; the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, ready to give account for what we believe. This is our Spiritual armament, the anointing of light.

"This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all." I John 1:5

God is light and, without the anointing of light, there is no God in our lives. Man still must hide from God because of his evil deeds.

"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved." John 3:19-20

Adam hid rather than be reproved of God. Man is still hiding because his flesh cannot stand before God nor His reproof.

"But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin." I John 1:7

Our fellowship with one another is based on our walking in the light with one another.

"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?" II Corinthians 6:14

What fellowship can light have with darkness? We are to walk as Children of Light. We are to put off all darkness, that we may receive the anointing of light. We are the light of the world. We are the city that is set on a hill. On the Isle of Patmos, Jesus revealed to John:

"And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof." Revelation 21:23

The glory of God will lighten that city. Those who have the anointing of light will dwell in the New Jerusalem of God. Jesus also informed us of those who will not enter in.

"For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie." Revelation 22:15

These are those who are still clothed with the beast nature, who are sensual and have not the mind of Christ. The psalmist, Asaph, declared:

"I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes." Psalm 82:6-7

We are gods in the sight of God. We were created in His image and belong to Him. But man has fallen from His place in God and we die as fallen man, or as the beast, because we are not seeking the things of God, but the things of this life.

Too many today belong to the church of the Laodiceans:

"Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of Me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the same of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see." Revelation 3:17-18

Without the anointing of light, we stand naked before God and must hide ourselves from God. Without the promise of the Father in our lives, no one can come boldly before the throne of light. You may be rich in the goods of this world, but before God, you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked. In this condition, you must hide from the presence of God. Your covering of fig leaves is not acceptable before God. Only His covering of light will stand before His presence.

". . .I counsel thee to buy of Me gold tried in the fire. . ." We must have His gold that has been tried in the fire and His robes of righteousness; the only covering for our nakedness. When we anoint our eyes with the eyesalve of the Spirit, we will discover that the bow God set in the clouds (His Glory) is the same bow that appears around His throne. This is the anointing Adam had in the garden. And this is the anointing that is coming in the day of rain; the early and the latter rain upon this earth.

Apply the eyesalve and let your Spiritual vision be healed. Anoint your eyes with the eyesalve of the Holy Spirit that you may look forward to the book of Genesis. Let there be praise unto God in your earth that you may be healed.

Anoint your eyes with the eyesalve of the Holy Spirit of God that you may see afar off. Let your good works be seen before men that your Father may receive praise before men.
