PSALM 19

The following study on Psalm 19, by Wallace Gregory, appeared in his little booklet, called "Light For The Dark Days", which he used to send out some years back. This particular message was taken from issue No. 55 sent out in 1974. It seems to me that the things explained by brother Gregory at that time are even more important to us now, as we are coming into the time of the fulfillment of these revelations in God's word. Please read the following very prayerfully, asking the Holy Spirit to grant you much enlightment in these wonderful truths.
Some months ago the Spirit of the Lord spoke these words to me, "The ends of the world are come upon us...."(I Cor. 10:11) "This generation shall not pass away..."(Matt. 24:34) and later on He spoke these words from the ninteenth Psalm,. "Their line is gone out through all the earth...". Finally, on Dec. 28, 1973 The Lord awakened me with the words from Ps. 19:2 "Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge"
There is a significance here in that the same Psalm was referred to twice or "doubled" as it were. Joseph told Pharaoh that because his dream was doubled', it was because God had established it and it would soon come to pass. Job, in speaking of God giving instructions, said, "God speaketh once, yea, twice..." Job 34:14.
This Psalm has an end time meaning. It had its place and its meaning way back in David's time, but the Bible says that "the word of the Lord endureth forever." 'Instead of being out of date, this Psalm is just as real as tomorrow's newspaper and far more certain to come to pass.
(Ps.19:1) "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork." The heavens here which declare the glory of God in this end time are not the natural stars and the planets but the saints of God which make up the spiritual heavens. "God hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus" Eph. 2:6
Our first heaven is when we are baptized into Christ (into His death) and then raised up to walk in newness of life. (Rom. 6:4) This is our salvation experience, being called out of the world and it corresponds to the outer court of the tabernacle in the wilderness which was a pattern in the natural for our spiritual progression. This calling is made sure and our sanctification (from past sins) assured by the blood of Jesus.
Our second heaven is when we receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and follow on to know the Lord. This corresponds to the sanctuary of the tabernacle. As our call out of the world had to be made sure, even so our election (into His glorious kingdom) must be made sure, by presenting our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God. Rom. 12:1
Paul was caught up into the third heaven which corresponds to the Holy of Holies of the tabernacle. This is our final goal, coming unto perfection and maturity in God where Christ takes up within us His permanent abiding place. This is made sure by offering up the sacrifice of praise and worship to God continually. Heb. 13:15
These last ones, who serve the Lord continually in prayer and praise are the generation that will not pass away but live to see the coming of the Lord. , A seed shall serve him, it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation" Ps. 22:30
Every Christian knows, of course, that all who belong to Christ are said to be Abraham's seed, Gal 3:29. But there are three classes of this seed - the thirty, the sixty and the hundredfold. "One shall say I am the Lord's, another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the Lord and surname himself by the naive of Israel Isa. 44:5
The first group is the Zion company, the worshiping and praising part of the church, the second is the Israel or overcoming group, and last is Jacob. Among the Zion group is the Spirit filled ministry and among the Israel group are those who receive their wise words of instruction so that they too become wise and are known as the wise virgins. These fresh two groups make up the most spiritual part of the body of Christ and are called the Royal Priesthood company and a holy nation. "But ye are a chosen generation; a royal priesthood, an holy nation , a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." I Pet. 2:9 The Lord first comes to Zion, and puts words of instruction in their mouth, and they pass it on to Israel (which is their seed) and it passes on down to Jacob (which is the seed's seed) "As for me, this is my covenant with them (Zion) saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy month shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and forever." Isa. 59:21
There is a "them" company in the Bible, and Zion is it! The first two groups are the spiritual worshiping part of the church, while Jacob is more earthly and the last to come into the pure words of truth. The Lord comes first to Zion and last to Jacob, for there is still transgression in Jacob. "And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord." Isa. 59:20
It is Zion who has been caught up into the heavenlies, into the presence of the Lord, who shall first declare the glory of God. "They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this." Ps. 22:31. "All the ends of the worlds shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom is the Lord's: and he is the governor, among the nations." Ps. 22:28
Yes, the ends of the world are nearly here. Soon the following scripture will come to pass: "The government shall be UPON His shoulder, Isa. 9:6. This is now the testimony of Zion, and they themselves are in the firmament which showeth forth His handiwork, "For we are His workmanship", Eph. 2-10. His heavenly saints are clouds of witnesses. Their testimony is like the dew of dew of heaven. The rain of the Spirit is what gives the refreshing. Rain from heaven makes springs in the desert. It makes the watered gardens. It makes the desert blossom as the rose. The heavenly rain is what makes the living waters. Peter, in speaking of the coming of the Lord, declared that "One day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." Every Christian knows of the promise that six days shalt thou labour and do all thy work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God. The spiritual meaning being that for six thousand years God's people must toil and sacrifice, witness and labor in the gospel, endure trials and sufferings and tribulations, but in the seventh day all this will be over as they enter into their rest in the glorious Kingdom of God. Approximately four thousand years went by before Christ's first coming. So approximately two thousand years - or two days - will go by before His second coming. There are both evenings and mornings in God's spiritual days. Both periods of darkness and periods of light.
Just as the sun and the moon divide the days and nights between them in declaring the glory of God, even so in the spiritual heavens God has always had his stars and suns to declare His glory. After the resurrection there were some dark times of persecution and then the bright light of the gospel covering the world, and then came the days when the Bible was kept from the people and the truth was twisted or undiscovered. These were known as the dark ages. Then came again the morning when Martin Luther and others as the bright stars and morning suns of the reformation brought truth once more to the world. There has been for some time a dark time of apostasy and unbelief sweeping the world, but among the darkness there are flickering lights from those from whom the day star is arising in their hearts. They are declaring the glory of God and announcing that the Sun of righteousness shall soon appear. From day unto day and age unto age where one generation has left off, another has begun and knowledge and truth is increasing as unto the perfect day.
It was the Eunuch of Ethiopia who read the prophecy of the first coming of Christ, and of his being led as a sheep to the slaughter, and opened not his mouth; which ended with "and who shall declare his generation?" Phillip declared his generation and preached unto him Jesus, Acts 8:35. It was Paul who stood in the midst of Mars' Hill among the Athenians who had gathered to worship the UNKNOWN GOD, and declared, "whom therefore ve ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you," Acts 17:23.
God has a people today who are being created to bring praise and glory to the Lord. "The Lord gave the word; great was the company of those that published it." There :is likely to be a great revival resulting from this resurgence of prayer, praise and testimony. "The wilderness and the solitary place (unfruitful lives) shall be glad for them (Zion) and the desert (spiritually unproductive ones) shall rejoice,, and blossom as the rose. Isa. 35:1
(Ps. 19:3) "There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard." There was never a time when the end time message was going forth in such volume as now. God's people are blowing the trumpet, assembling the elders, gathering the people together for a mighty end time spiritual army. "And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his army is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?"
(Ps. 19:4) "Their line (sound) is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them (Zion) hath he set a tabernacle for the sun ... (For Jesus, the Sun of Righteousness) This is one of the most important themes in the Bible ... that YOU are to be a tabernacle for the SUN. (A place for Christ to dwell). By day the tabernacle was covered by a pillar of cloud and by night by a pillar of fire. This was a type of a shadow of things to come.
The New Testament speaks of God's people becoming a tabernacle for the Sun of Righteousness. As they gather before the Priest (Spirit filled ministers) to hear the word of God, the glory will come down upon them. (It is only through the Word that you can come to the glory of the Spirit.) If they surrender to the Word and will of God then the presence of God will come down upon them and even enter within them. (the Baptism of the Holy Spirit) and they will truly receive comfort (why not, for the Comforter Himself has come INTO them). They will have renewed hope, and strength, and joy, and will want to go tell others (testify) of their wonderful experience. As they receive the wise words from the Priesthood, they will themselves become wise (wise virgins)and these two groups (The Royal Priesthood and the Holy Nation) will make up what the Bible calls the CHOSEN GENERATION. Not only called out of the world to become Christian (as every Christian is) but chosen by the infilling of God's Spirit to be a TABERNACLE of Testimony. This is essentially what the New Testament is all about. "Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne, of the Majesty in the heavens; A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle which the Lord pitched, and not man." Heb. 8:2
Christ was the first true tabernacle in which the fullness of God dwelt. But he became a minister- who wants to fill us with His presence until we come into the fullness of the stature of Christ. "For the Lord both chosen Zion; He hath desired it for his habitation." Ps. 132:13 This is a progressive thing for TRUTH is progressive. As Zion receives more truth and light, she will give more and more divine truth and light to other saints until the whole heaven is illuminated.
Jesus first unveiled Himself to the two disciples on their way to Emmaus when "He expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself," Luke 24:27. And they said, "Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?" Christ was afterward to reveal Himself to many more and still is arising in hearts as the Morning Sun of Righteousness and will do so until the actual wedding takes place (which is a spiritual union with Christ and is even now going on) "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the lord is risen upon thee." Isa. 60:1
After the dawn that is now streaking through the heavens, there will no longer be night but there will come the morning ... THE MORNING OF THE THIRD DAY. "But unto, you that fear my name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall:" Mal. 4:2 "And I will betroth thee unto me forever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and lovingkindness, and in mercies," Hos. 2:19. "Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined," Ps. 50:2. "Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him." Ps. 50:3
It is Zion who shall gather the people together in these last days for the bridegroom who comes out of his chamber. "Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is the judge himself." Ps. 50:5-6
Note how the 19th Psalm connects up with all. the end time scriptures. "Blow the trumpet in Zion .... Gather the people .... Let the bridegroom go forth out of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet." Joel 2:16
