Re: The Reason for Suffering

After reading From the Body, No. 5, The Depths of Suffering, a sister quotes:
This article is so TRUE, every word of it.!!!!! I have only been a Christian for 2 years and since DAY 2, my life has been an ongoing and progressively worse, State of Hell on Earth, many, many, many times I have thought, Oh my GOD, this life is HORRIBLE, who in their right mind would want to become a Christian, if this is what it is like, oh how I have prayed for the Lord to "Just Kill Me, NOW!!!, I can't take any more, through much agony, depression, self pity, YES, PRAISE THE BLESSED LORD, NOW I am beginning to see a new me (HIM) emerging, things of the world don't interest me, my constant state of rebellion against authoritiy is diminishing.
HE is trying to teach me things, IMPORTANT things here, through all this suffering, S_L_O_W_L_Y, I am coming to a point where I can almost say, Praise him, who is sending me through this fire, for my own sake!!!
I think one of the things that make this so DIFFICULT to really come to understand is that most of the church is teaching the opposite, take a verse, name it and claim it, God will bless you abundantly, all you need to do is CLAIM THIS VERSE OR THAT ONE, WHICHEVER verse "YOU" choose to pick out, claim it, then it is yours and if you don't get blessed, well you must not be doing it right, not praying enough, still in some secret sin, etc, Then these Happy Christians who seem to have everything going well in their lives, don't want to hear you say, BUT, THIS IS NOT WORKING FOR ME, then instead of continuing to fellowship with you or pray with and for you, they forget you, if they don't see you swimming in the abundance of worldly goods!!!!
PRAISE the LORD, for your article, which helps people like me to better understand the "suffering, teaching, refining process". IT TRULY IS A BETTER BLESSING THAN WHAT THOSE HAPPY CHRISTIANS WHO NEVER GO THROUGH THIS HAVE, it is an everlasting BLESSING.......MORE PEOPLE NEED TO HEAR THESE WORDS IN YOUR ARTICLE!!!! Thank you for caring and sharing, we "sufferers" need these words of encouragement more and more, untill the TRUTH of these words sinks into our beings.
