"Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision." Joel3:13-14

The harvest at the end of the age is just about ready. Where will you be in the harvest? There are two gatherings in this end time harvest - - - the wheat which is the good seed - - - and the tares which are the wicked look-alike seeds. Joel tells us multitudes are in this valley of decision. What will happen to each of these in this end time harvest? First let's consider the harvest of the tares. Jesus explains the Spiritual application of the sown seed:

"Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn." Matthew 13:30

"The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the Kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one. The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His Kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear." Matthew 13:38-43

The look-alike tares are soon to be gathered and cast into the furnace of God's wrath? Who else will be gathered and cast into the wrath? We are told in Revelation:

"And the angel thrust in His sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God." Revelation 14:19

Not only will the tares be cast into the fire, but also the vine of the earth. Who else besides the tares and the vine will be cast into the great winepress of the wrath of God? Matthew tells us:

"Again, the Kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 13:47-50

In Matthew we discover that great fish catches (the multitudes) of the sea will receive the same harvest fate as the tares and the vine of the earth. Who else will be cast into the furnace of fire at the end of the age? Ezekiel declares:

"And the word of the Lord came unto me saying, Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver. Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in My fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you. Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of My wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof. As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the Lord have poured out My fury upon you." Ezekiel 22:17-22

All these will also be cast into the fiery furnace. Who are the tares, the vine, the fish, and the unuseable metals? Verse 18 tells us it is the house of Israel? Heed Isaiah's cry:

"But to Israel He saith, All day long have I stretched forth My hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people." Romans 10:20

But you would ask, are God's people going to have to endure the wrath of God? Paul tells us who the wrath of God will fall on:

"Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience." Ephesians 5:6

Yes, the disobedient children of the house of Israel, are going to be put through the furnace of the wrath of God. They look like good wheat, but they stand above the wheat in pride and arrogance refusing to bow in humility before the Lord of hosts. Jesus declares this also:

"And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and the west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the Kingdom of heaven. But the children of the Kingdom shall be cast into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 8:11-12.

Yes, it will be the children of the Kingdom who will be cast into the great winepress of the wrath of God. If you do a thorough study of the phrase "weeping and gnashing of teeth" you will discover the time frame for this is the wrath of God. Matthew tells us:

"And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 13:42, 50

"And cast the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 25:30

Who will be cast into the fire? It is the look-alike, lukewarm Christians, including God's unprofitable servants. You may ask, why are some of God's children going to be put through the fire of the wrath of God? At first it looks like God will forsake His children, but upon closer observation you will find this is God's mercy on His children to burn off all things that offend and hinder them from entering into His everlasting Kingdom.

In the New Testament gospels, Jesus through the penmanship of Mark warns:

"And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you. . . ye shall be hated of all men for My sake: but he that endureth unto the end, the same shall be saved (delivered)." Mark 13:5a & 13

God has a plan of hope for those who must endure the wrath to the end. Isaiah declares:

"For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. In a little wrath I hid My face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer. For this is as the waters of Noah unto Me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but My kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee." Isaiah 54:7-10

Yes, the tares, the vine, the multitude of fish, and the unuseable metals are going to be cast into the fiery furnace of the wrath of God. God is going to do a mighty work in these who must endure the wrath, but there must first be a repentant heart and a forsaking of all things that hinder. The book of Chronicles gives us this promise:

"And when he humbled himself, the wrath of the Lord turned from him, that he would not destroy him altogether:. . ." II Chronicles 12:12

All those, now, who refuse to bow in humility, will be humbled in the coming day of God's wrath, but they will not be destroyed altogether. Yet they must endure to the end.

The three Hebrew children, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, are a perfect type of God's children being put through the furnace of the wrath of God:

"Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meschach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace seven times more than it was wot to be heated. And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meschach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning, fiery furnace.

Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Therefore because the king's command was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meschach, and Abednego. And these three men Shadrach, Meschack, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meschach, and Abednego, ye servants of the Most High God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadarch, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors being gathered together, saw those men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them." Daniel 3:19 - 27

Yes, God's children are going to be cast into the fiery furnace of the wrath of God, but every hindrance, every thing that has them bound is going to burned off - - - and they are going to come out of the fiery furnace victorious. All the scales of worldly allurements will be burned off their eyes. All the loud voices of this world will no longer ring in their ears. All the tight cords of church and government controls will be burned away, and they will be able to finally hear and see the true Word of God at work in their lives.

Will you be the look-alike tares who are thrown into the fiery furnace of the wrath of God? Or will you humble yourselves now to remove all the hindrances of this world, that you might escape the effects of the wrath of God. Will you make the necessary preparations now before that great and terrible day? Through the pen of Luke, Jesus pleads with His people:

"So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the Kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily, I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but My words shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth."

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." Luke 21:31-36.

What is it that hinders our walk that must be cast into the fire? Through the pen of Luke, Jesus proclaims:

"Woe unto you lawyers! For ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

Many leaders in today's church system have not given their flocks the key to the knowledge of God's Word. This is truly a hindrance in preparing for the days ahead. Paul declared what also hinders God's people from preparing for the days ahead:

"Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. . . Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth." Galatians 5:4 & 7

Manmade rules and doctrines are indeed a hindrance in many lives in the church today, especially the false trumpet being broadcast of an escape by the rapture which ensures you will be removed before anything happens.

One of the most grievous hindrances today is pride, which includes those in church and government, as well as the flock. Jeremiah tells us:

"Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, saith the Lord God of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee. And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all round about him." Jeremiah 50:31-32

Yes, those who are leading God's flock will receive the greater judgment. Jeremiah goes on to say:

"Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you. For among My people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men. As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses (apostate church) full of deceit; therefore they are become great and waxen rich. They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge. Shall I not visit for these things? Saith the Lord: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nations as this. A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and My people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?" Jeremiah 5:25 -31

What a terrible indictment on the leaders of the church, and the people as well. And what will ye do in the end thereof? Now is the time to repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand, Mark 1:15.

Not only do our leaders hinder God's people from preparing for the days ahead, there are many stumbling blocks in our own life that hinder our walk in the Lord. Ezekiel warns:

"Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumbling block of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them? Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the Lord will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols. That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols." Ezekiel 14:3-5

Now is the time search our hearts and remove all the idols (those things we place above God's will in our lives) so we are not included with the prideful tares who must endure the wrath.

Look again at the parable of the sower of the seed to find the many idols in our own hearts that hinder our walk:

"And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares." Luke 21:33

Begin to day to remove all the hindrances that are in your life, such as being weighed down (overcharged) with debt which comes from covetousness, always seeking pleasures, and the every day cares of this life (anything that distracts you from pressing towards the high calling of God in Christ Jesus).

The greatest snares, hindrances, and stumbling blocks are found in I Timothy. Paul relates:

"But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." I Timothy 6:9-10

How important is today's affluent way of life to you? Could you survive without all the riches which surround this society? We need to ask ourselves, "Are we actually willing to leave this way of life to come out from among Babylon's riches and become useable vessels in the day of God's wrath?" In the book of Revelation, Jesus exhorts us:

"And I heard another voice from heaven saying, Come out of her My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." Revelation 18:4

Christians, as well as the world, know the wrath of God is on the horizon. Do not be lulled to sleep thinking you will escape its devastation. Now is the time to flee this worldly way of life and come out of the midst of Babylon:

"Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing: go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the Lord. For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the Lord will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward." Isaiah 52:11-12

Those who prepare now will not go through the wrath of God, but there is a total forsaking of everything in this life that would hinder. In the book of Thessalonians, Paul tells of this people who are not appointed to wrath:

"Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith, and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation (deliverance) by our Lord Jesus Christ." I Thessalonians5:6

Now is the day to prepare for the days ahead. Come out of the midst of Babylon and become a minister to those who must endure the wrath. Become the ingathering of the precious wheat of the earth. Jesus tells us the clusters are those who will be fit for the Master's table:

"And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire, and cried with a loud cry to Him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in Thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe." Revelation 14:18

There is a big difference between the gathering of the vine of the earth (those who must endure the wrath) and the gathering of the full ripe clusters (those who are not appointed to wrath). Now is the time to grow to maturity and become the full ripe fruit who will lead God's people through the rubble of the coming wrath of God. This is the people spoken of in Joel:

"Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong: there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run. Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array. Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather darkness. They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks. Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded. They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief. The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: And the Lord shall utter His voice before His army: for His camp is very great: forhe is strong that executeth His Word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible and WHO CAN ABIDE IT?" Joel 2:1 - 11

Who can abide the coming day of God's vengeance? It will be those who have shed every hindrance and have prepared themselves for the coming Elisha double portion ministry as soldiers set in battle array. Timothy held to this vision of ministry:

"Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier." II Timothy 2:3-4

The message of "no suffering" is another hindrance taught throughout today's church system. Yet it is only through suffering that we will become strong and able bodied soldiers prepared for the days ahead. Peter declares:

"Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. . . Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. For the time is come that judgement must begin at the house of God, and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" I Peter 4:12-13, & 16 - 17

God's glory is going to be revealed in this company of believers who have shed every weight and sin that so easily besets them. Paul proclaims:

"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God." Romans 8:18-19

Yes, the time is at hand. God's sons are soon to be manifested in all His glory, equipped with the double portion anointing of the Holy Spirit which will enable them to minister to those who must endure the wrath of God in the days ahead. Elijah declares:

"And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so." II Kings 2:9-10

To receive the double portion anointing that will equip us to take up the Elijah mantle we must keep our eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ, not on the distracting, hindering cares of this life. Yes, the full ripe wheat is going to be gathered in the coming harvest. Are you willing to become part of this double portion company? Now is the time to look up, for our redemption draweth nigh.
