Proclaiming the Everlasting Gospel of God's Kingdom
In all my 30 + years of serving the Lord I have never seen the Bible and Jesus attacked and degraded like it has been recently. The History Channel, along with other TV channels, have done everything they can to bring doubt on the Bible and who Jesus was and is. This is just another sign that the end of the age is near.
Even in the church, there is so much confusion as to who or what to believe. The news media makes all religions equal with Christianity. They defend the Moslems who are guilty of the 911 attack, and degrade anyone who speaks about the Bible, about Jesus and about His judgment on a sinful nation and world.
This nation has gotten so far away from the truth it is hard to recognize what the Bible and Jesus is all about. The Lord awoke me and spoke the following Scripture:
"For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are Spiritually discerned." I Corinthians 2:11-14
Paul here is speaking to the carnal Corinthian church who had no Spiritual understanding. Paul begins to teach them that there are two spirits: the spirit of man and the Spirit of God. The spirit of man is in the small case. The Spirit of God is capitalized. Then he shows them the third spiritual ream. These are evil spirits. All things are complete in three.
1 - The Spirit of God is the life-giving Spirit which was breathed into man at Creation.
2 - The spirit of man is the soul of man - - - or the inner most part of man's being that operates the body, and functions the mind and the heart, etc.
3 - The evil spirits are the fallen spirits that are part of the demonic kingdom.
The spirit of man knows the things of the world. It is carnal, sensual, and can only understand what the fleshly mind can figure out. In other words, the spirit of man is not Spirit led.
"Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God." I Corinthians 2:12
Paul states we have not received the spirit of the world! The spirit of the world is the same as the spirit of man that has no Spiritual understanding to receive the things freely given to us of God.
Those who are led by the Spirit of God have been freely given the things of God! How? It is only by God's divine Word.
This attack on God's Word and on Jesus leaves the carnal mind no where to turn to find the truth. So many end up doubting the true Word of God and seek "so called truth" in religions.
Many are turning away from traditional teachings to the occult because they are looking for signs. Paul wrote:
"For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:" I Corinthians 1:22
Paul speaks of the Jews and the Greeks. What do these two groups of people represent? The Jews were the religious order of Paul's day. The Greeks represented the worldly, sensual people who desired knowledge. The same is true today. The religious orders are looking for some sign to make them believe - - - and the worldly mind is seeking wisdom so they can figure things out with their carnal minds.
How is the world trying to destroy the Bible and the reality of Jesus as the Son of God? They have come up with some ancient writings. One is called the Gospel of Mary. This was supposed to have been written by Mary Magdalene. In this false gospel, Jesus was supposed to have had an affair with Mary, even bearing Him children. This was to show Jesus was simply man. Since they were not married, this would make Him a fornicator. This would make Jesus no different from any other sinful man, not the Son of God without sin as the Bible plainly states several times. This so-called gospel of Mary makes the following Scripture a lie:
"For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin." Hebrews 4:15
Casting doubt on the Bible leaves many confused. They forget the following Scripture:
"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" II Timothy 3:16
The pure Word of God is our instructor, but many do not read the Bible. They depend on the pulpit for their instruction.
The second false gospel some are trying to piece together is called the Gospel of Judas. This is supposed to be written by Judas Iscariot and states that Judas did not betray Jesus, but was acting under Jesus' orders to reveal Him to the Romans. These are spending millions to discredit the Gospel of Christ.
The question we need to ask is if Judas was acting on Jesus' orders, then why did he hang himself? What about the thirty pieces of silver he returned and threw at the feet of the religious order who had paid him. What of the prophecies in the Old Testament of Jesus' betrayal? What about the words of Jesus at the Last Supper concerning the one who would betray Him? All these so-called ancient writings are only to tear down the Bible and Jesus, casting a veil of doubt on the Word of God.
Now some are saying the picture of the last Supper by De Vince shows Mary Magdalene next to Jesus, making Mary on of the twelve disciples. These are lies and false hoods to bring doubt and discredit God and His Word.
Some are also saying David's stone did not kill Goliath, but he died and dropped dead of some disease. They explain away every miracle, every Spiritual act, and every event recorded in the Bible.
Some are trying to make us believe that when Moses went up into the Mount, he entered into a flying saucer to receive the ten commandments. The list goes on and on. Every miracle, every thing that proves God exists has been tainted by the carnal mind. Such attacks were unheard of just a few years ago, but are now rampant because science has to prove it knows more than God. Paul wrote to Timothy about this:
"O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee Amen." I Timothy 6:20-21
This nation has erred concerning the faith, and so has the church.
"Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth: comparing spiritual things with spiritual." I Corinthians 2:13
There is only one way to distinguish that which is carnal from that which is spiritual, and that is by the knowledge we receive from God's Word. The Holy Ghost is our teacher. When we are in tune with the Holy Spirit, then we can discern what the Spirit speaks, and compare it with man's wisdom. This is the only way we can discern between good and evil.
Science and man's wisdom has denied God and the need for His direction in our lives. Man's existence without God is without hope - - - no future, no past - - - just an every day mundane existence.
"But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are Spiritually discerned." I Corinthians 2:14
The natural man cannot, nor does he receive or understand the things of God, because he only has a natural mind and his understanding of Spiritual things is null and void. He does not have the Spirit of God. Paul wrote to the Romans:
"But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His." Romans 8:9
Those who do not have the Spirit of Christ indwelling, are none of His. So how does this relate to those who are trying with everything they have, to discredit the Word of God? Are they doing it by the Spirit, or are they doing it by science and man's wisdom? If they were doing it by the Spirit, then they would know by the Spirit that what is written in God's Word is true and would not question it. Paul prefaced what he said with this:
"For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be Spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God." Romans 8:5-8
Those operating with the carnal mind are simply minding the things of the flesh which is death, and they have become the enemies of God. They are not pleasing to God, and their judgment is sure.
There was a man on TV who was denying that Jesus even died, saying it was all a hoax, and that He was just a natural man. We live in a time the Bible speaks of when many will deny the very existence of God.
Jesus spoke to His disciples:
"Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you. And when He is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
Of sin, because they believe not on Me; Of righteousness, because I go to My Father, and ye see Me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth is come, he will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come." John 16:7-13
Jesus knew as long as He was on earth he was limited by His flesh, but when Jesus came as the Holy Spirit, He would be in the unlimited Spiritual realm. By Jesus' words to John, we know He promised His disciples He would come as the Holy Spirit upon them:
"I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." John 14:18
Jesus kept His promise to His disciples on the Day of Pentecost when He came to them (or upon them) as the Holy Ghost.
"And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment." John 16:8
Why did Jesus come as the Holy Ghost to reprove (bring to light and convict) the world, or worldly people of their sin and unrighteousness? He came to let them know there is a judgment on sin. They would be judged because they did not believe He was who He said He was. Those who deny the Word are exercising their sin nature.
Jesus left to go to the Father, or to His Father position. He became Christ Jesus, the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. Only those who have Spiritual eyes can see Him as He is.
The prince of this world has free reign in many lives today. Until one is endued with power from on high, they cannot except Jesus in their lives. This can only happen when one kills off the old Adam nature and let's Christ (the Holy Spirit) have free reign in their lives.
Jesus stated He had many things to reveal to His disciples, but they were not yet endowed with the Holy Spirit to understand these things. The same is true today. Those who do not have the Holy Spirit cannot understand Spiritual things because they are none of His. This is why such attacks have always been upon God Word. It is because man tries to understand God's Spiritual book with their carnal minds.
"Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, [that] shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come. John 16:13
When the Spirit of Truth is come, He will guide us into all truth - - - The Truth of God's Word." Through the Spirit, He will speak to us what He hears from the Father to show us things to come. This is why those who are endowed with the Spirit know God's judgment is at hand. Jesus spoke to His disciples:
"He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given." Matthew 13:11
Only those who have the Holy Spirit have the power to understand the mysteries of the Kingdom. The church system has no idea of the Kingdom. They read about the Kingdom of heaven and they believe the Kingdom is in some physical place called heaven. But the Kingdom of God is right here on earth - - - a renewed earth. Man's carnal mind cannot believe in a world without cheating, robbing, murder, rape, drunkenness, drugs, politics, and all other forms of sin.
The church's only hope is to die. Those who look for the coming Kingdom have the hope to live forever. Those whose only hope is the grave have to tear down those whose hope is in God and His Kingdom age.
"But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:" II Corinthians 4:3
The gospel of the Kingdom is hid to the lost. But they continue to try to understand and explain their carnal understanding, and they have their followers who are just as lost as they are.
"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." II Corinthians 4:4
The gods of this world have blinded their minds, so the gospel of Christ is lost to them. They go their own way and do their own thing, trying in vain to show how wise they are. One of my favorite Scriptures states:
"But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him." I John 2:27
Man is not your teacher. Only the Holy ghost can lead you into all truth. We have God's promise as the Holy Ghost has taught, that you may abide in Him or dwell continually with Him. Those who come against the Word of God are the enemies of God and their judgment is sure.
Jude, Jesus' half brother, gives us insight into the time in which we live:
"How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit." Jude 1:18-19
When the mockers come, what day are we living in? It is in the last time. Jude summed up this whole teaching when he stated those who separate themselves from God are sensual (fleshly) having not the Spirit. These walk after their own ungodly lusts, seeking to bring attention to themselves with their carnal understandings.
Peter, who was given the keys to the Kingdom, also knew the times in which we live:
"Knowing this first, that there shall cine in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts," II Peter 3:3
Because of these mockers and scoffers, we know the end of the age is near. The handwriting is every where we look. God is about to speak TEKEL to this nation and to the world. This is one word the hand wrote on the wall of Nebuchadnezzar's palace:
"TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting." Daniel 5:27
God is weighing the world in His righteous balance, and it has been found wanting (lacking the knowledge of God) and walking after their own sensual lust.
We need not be the ones who have been found wanting. We need to get on our faces before our God and repent of those things that will keep us out of the Kingdom. For truly the Kingdom of God is at hand, and His judgment is sure upon this godless nation and the world. Amen!
