Christ In Us, The Hope of Glory

The Bible is coming alive more everyday as we see God's Word being fulfilled. God's prophetic age is upon us. The Apostle John gave us insight into the New Day that is dawning. John recorded Jesus' words:

"No man can come to Me, except the Father which hath sent Me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6:44

The words draw him mean to come by an inward power. Many may think it was their desire to serve God, but in reality it was the drawing of the Holy Spirit that brought them to Christ. Paul wrote to the Ephesians:

"The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints," Ephesians 1:18

As we continue to grow in the knowledge of God, we should begin to seek what the hope of His calling is in our life, and what our inheritance as saints is in God. Most have been taught that dying and going to heaven is the only hope we have. Nothing could be further from the truth. Death is the enemy of mankind, and heaven is not our hope of eternal life. Heaven has always been taught as the Christian utopia. Paul tells us:

"There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;" Ephesians 4:4

There is one hope of our calling. In his letter to the Colossians, Paul reveals this hope:

"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:" Colossians 1:27

Christ in us being our hope of glory is still a mystery in the church today. Christ in us is the overcoming power of God which allows us to overcome the adamic curse of death. This is the promise of God from the beginning of time. We need to know all fail in Adam. Our only victory is in Christ, and Christ being formed in us. We need to take comfort in the words of Jesus: "And I will raise him up at the last day". The last day is the seventh day. God will raise up those who are seeking His overcoming power to be victorious in His sight.
