The prophet Jeremiah was called the weeping prophet. Jeremiah prophesied the fall of Judah for many years. How would Jeremiah react to the sin he would witness in the world today? Jeremiah declared:
"For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of My people slightly, saying, Peace, Peace; when there is no peace." Jeremiah 8:11
All one hears all over the earth today is Peace, Peace! Many nations have their peace conferences, but these have all failed. The United States government sends peace keeping troops here and there which is a joke. There will be no peace unless the Prince of Peace is the head. Man is trying to do the best he can, but without God man's puny efforts will fail. The harder man tries in himself, the further he gets away from God. The voice of God is no longer heard in government circles. Many have their own god, which is power and control. The apostle Paul warned:
"Whose voice then shook the earth: but now He hath promised saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven." Hebrews 12:26
It is God's people who are going to be shaken. You always shake someone to wake them up, or get their attention. God is trying to wake His virgins out of their Adam sleep. He is trying to wake them up to look at their lukewarm spiritual condition. Heaven is the Spiritual realm of God, and He is shaking every one of His chosen ones to check where they are in Him. God's people are taken up with the things of this life, and can no longer hear His voice which is saying, "Come up higher". We need to get on our knees and open our Spiritual ears. Then, and only then, will God give us the peace that passeth all understanding in this troubled, degenerate world.
