A Kingdom Divided

Today we live in the most exciting time in the history of mankind. We are witnessing God's hand of judgment on the mightiest nation since the Roman Empire. The elections are over, with no decisive winner --- only a declared President. When the President takes office, less than one-half of the populous will have put him there. The other half wanted someone else. Truly Jesus' words become more real than ever before.

"And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:" Matthew 12:25

We live in a nation divided against itself. By Jesus' words we know this nation cannot stand. By God's Word we know the kingdoms of man will be brought into desolation. Only one Kingdom will stand for all eternity, and that is the Kingdom of God. God is installing His Kingdom, His Kingdom principles, and His Kingdom ways in a people. He cannot bring the Kingdom on the earth until He gets the Kingdom in the earth --- our earth --- those who are sold out to God instead of to this world and the governments of this world. Jesus told His disciples:

"Blessed is that servant, whom his Lord when He cometh shall find so doing." *** Luke 12:43

So doing what? Doing the things of the Kingdom. Jesus came preaching the Kingdom. John the Baptist came proclaiming the Kingdom. Every writer of the New Testament pronounced the Kingdom. The church system can only preach salvation. Too many today teach nothing of God's coming Kingdom. So when the Lord comes, all they will be doing is proclaiming the precepts and doctrines of men. Jesus made a special promise to those He finds so doing His Kingdom principles:

"Of a truth I say unto you, that He will make him ruler over all that He hath." *** Luke 12:44

Today many are proclaiming sonship and ruling and reigning with Christ, but there will be no ruling and reigning for those who are not living His Kingdom way. There will be no ruling and reigning for those who are part of the house divided against itself. The only thing these can be assured of is desolation.
