Salvation For Our Souls
Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world
The book of Acts asks us the most important question in our lives:
What must I do to be saved?
The answer is: Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved, and thy house, Acts 16:30
Who is Jesus Christ?
The Bible tells us: "In the beginning was the Word (Jesus). . . and the Word (Jesus) was with God. And the Word (Jesus) was made flesh, and dwelt among us." John 1:1, 14
What does it mean to "be saved?"
To be saved means to be safe from all things that would destroy or bring death..
We can find how to receive salvation by searching the Scriptures
"Search the Scriptures, for in them ye know ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of Me. (Jesus Christ)
Let's look at some very important Scriptures that show us how to receive salvation for our souls.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
1 We need to confess with our mouths that we believe in the Lord Jesus
Christ.2 We need to believe in our hearts that God hath raised Him from the dead.
Acts 16:30 Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Salvation is God's free gift to you
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and not of yourselves: It is the gift of God:
The Bible says: ". . . the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
Would you like to receive
the gift of eternal life?God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. II Peter 3:9
What does the word repentance mean?
Repentance means changing our hearts from sinning and doing wrong things and confessing with our mouths, our hearts, and our whole being that we want to change and do what is right.
Open the door to your heart and invite Jesus in
"Behold I stand at the door and knock, if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me." Revelation 3:20
