We live in a day when many have lost hope: hope in their government, hope in their economy, hope in their future, and worst of all, hope in their God. Their vision has been darkened or lost. All they can do is look down or look around and state, "Woe is me!" Solomon gave us an example of the people who live in our day:

"Where there is no vision, the people perish." Proverbs 29:18a

When people lose their vision, they lose all hope. All they can see is what is going on around them. God has given us His Word which is full of the vision He has for His people. Yes, hard times are coming, but we have God's promises we can stand on. The prophet Joel speaks about the day of the Lord which lies directly ahead of us:

"A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. A fire devoureth before them: and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the Garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them." Joel 2:2-3

Joel writes about a great and strong people who are in the midst of the fire, even though everything before them is being devoured, and everything behind them is a desolate wilderness. But these great and strong people have a vision. Before them is the vision of a renewed earth like the Garden of Eden. These believe the words Christ Jesus spoke to John on the Isle of Patmos:

"And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful." Revelation 21:5

These who are in the midst of the fire know God's words are true and faithful. Jesus continues:

"And He said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely." Revelation 21:6

Christ Jesus is the beginning and the end. And those who are thirsty for the truths of God's Word will be given to drink of the fountain of life. The fountain of life is God's living Word. As we look at His water of life, we are informed to "Look up!" "Open our eyes!" "Lift our heads!" We are to get our eyes off the world with all its problems. We are to quit looking to the government to meet all our needs. We are to stop looking to make a name for ourselves. And we are to stop trying to get rich with this world's goods which we will leave behind.

We are to lift our heads to the One who has the answers to all our problems and needs. When we lift our heads and begin to look up, then all the problems of the world will begin to disappear, and we can look to the hope we have in God's promises. As we begin to understand what God intended for His people, we must begin by looking at Abraham:

"Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee." Genesis 12:1

At this time, Abram had not learned to obey God's words totally. Abram had been instructed to leave his country and all his kindred (relations). But as we know, Abram took Lot, his brother Haran's son with him. Haran had died, and perhaps Abram felt sorry for Lot. But he was not completely obedient to God's command, and this caused him problems. There came a day when Lot and Abram had to separate:

"And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:" Genesis 13:14

As long as Abram walked in partial disobedience, God could not fulfill His promise to him. But when Abram came into total obedience, God told him: "Lift up thine eyes." Look! When Abram was obedient to leave all, then everywhere he could see in every direction would be his. What a promise for God's people today. Open your eyes and see what God has planned for a people who walk in total obedience.

"For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever." Genesis 13:15

Everywhere Abram looked was his, and his seed's, forever. Yes, we have this promise of Abram, also. Paul knew and understood this promise made to Abram. Paul wrote to the Galatians of this promise:

"Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ." Galatians 3:16

This promise is only made to one seed, and that seed is Christ. Only those who are the anointed in the earth will receive the promise of Abraham. Only the anointed will become inheritors of the whole earth. Everywhere their eyes see, shall be their's. This promise is only to those who "Lift up their eyes" to see the promises. And this is the vision they will carry with them through the troubles that lie ahead.

One of the things we know about Abraham is - - - when God required him to leave the Ur of Chaldees, he was not a young man. We know this by the writings in Genesis:

"So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran." Genesis 12:4

Abraham was seventy-five years old when he had to leave his home and his family, and all his friends. All he could take with him was what he could carry on his animals, which were probably camels. He had no idea where he was going. Abraham had to trust and depend totally on God for everything. This is not too different then what will happen to God's modern day saints when they must flee from the oppression of the one world government. We, too, as Abraham will be forced to leave everything behind to survive.

Another man who had to look up was Moses. Moses kept the flocks of Jethro, his father in law. In his shepherding, he came to the mountain of God in Horeb:

"And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed." Exodus 3:2

We are not sure how big this bush was, but we know Moses had to get his eyes off the sheep to look upon the bush. Then Moses did something each of us must do if we are going to follow God all the way:

"And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt." Exodus 3:3

Moses made a decision, saying within himself, "I will now turn aside to see this great sight." Moses made a conscious decision to turn from the way he was going. We all must make this same decision in the days ahead. We all must make a conscious decision to turn aside from the way we are going to witness what God has in store for us.

"And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, here am I. And He said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground." Exodus 3:4-5

Any place where God is, is holy ground. It was at the burning bush that God gave Moses his orders to return to Egypt to deliver his people from the hand of Pharaoh. We may think or believe Moses was a young man. No! Moses was eighty years old at this time. Moses had lived with Jethro for forty years, and he was probably very comfortable with a wife and two sons. But when Moses looked up to see the burning bush, his whole life changed - - - from one who lived in obscurity, to one whom God would use, and whom the whole world would recognize as a great man of God.

Moses led the children of Israel through the wilderness for forty years to reach their promise land, but Moses would never enter into God's promise land. Why? In his fury toward the Israelites, Moses committed a sin before God. When Israel came into a place of testing Israel, they came into the desert of Zin. There was no water, and the Israelites came against Moses and Aaron. They called this place where God had led them an evil place. Moses and Aaran left the children of Israel, and went before the door of the tabernacle, prostrating themselves before the Lord:

"And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink." Numbers 20:7-8

Moses' orders from God were very clear. He was to take the rod God had given him, and he was to speak to the rock. This was to give God the glory before the people. This was to express God's authority over all His creation. Moses took the rod and the congregation to the rock. But Moses had a speech to make to show his disgust with the people:

"And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?" Numbers 20:10

Moses called the people rebels. Then his words would seal his fate: "Must we fetch water out of this rock?" In this act, Moses and Aaron were taking the credit for God's miracle. Moses should have known what the Lord explained through the pen of Isaiah:

"I am the Lord: that is My name: and My glory will I not give to another, neither My praise to graven images." Isaiah 42:8

God will not share His glory with anyone. Moses should have known this. Then Moses made an even greater mistake:

"And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts, also." Numbers 20:11

Instead of speaking to the rock, as instructed by God, Moses struck the rock twice. God was faithful to provide the water, even though Moses failed to follow His orders. The water came out of the rock abundantly to water the flocks and the children of Israel. But God's judgment was to fall upon Moses and Aaron immediately for this act.

"And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed Me not, to sanctify Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them." Numbers 20:12

Aaron would die in the wilderness, and Moses would complete the task God had given him to do; but Moses would not be permitted to go into the promise land because of his disobedience. Observe God's judgment upon Moses:

"Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan." Deuteronomy 3:27

Again, Moses was to lift up his eyes and look in every direction. Moses was allowed to see the promise land, but as God had promised, he would not be allowed to cross Jordan to enter into the land of milk and honey. Today many who have received God's promise of the Kingdom will not enter into the Kingdom. Why? It is because they will not turn aside from the way they are going. They will not remove their shoes to stand on God's holy ground. Even though they have the vision of the Kingdom, because of their stubborn, hard heart, they will not be allowed to enter into the Kingdom, God's promise land.

Another example of a people who need to look up and open their eyes is Elisha. Elisha was a great man of God who was full of faith, and trusted in his God. In Elisha's day, the king of Syria was set to engage Israel in a war, but every plan the king of Syria devised was revealed to the king of Israel.

"Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel?" II Kings 6:11

Because all his plans were revealed to the king of Israel, the king of Syria thought he had a spy in his midst..

"And one of his servants said, None, my Lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber." II Kings 6:12

Every plan the king of Syria made was being revealed to Elisha by God, so he could warn the king of Israel to avoid the king of Syria's traps. We can also depend on this protection today. Today everyone fears the government and its intervention into every area of their lives. But we have God's assurance:

"Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets." Amos 3:7

When the government plots against God's people, God will reveal to His prophets how to escape their snares.

The king of Syria declared he wanted Elisha found and destroyed.

"Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about." II Kings 6:14

This seemed like a little much in order to capture only one man. It would be like using a hammer to kill a fly.

"And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! How shall we do?" II Kings 6:15

When the servant of Elisha saw their predicament, his heart was filled with dread, and he cried out to his master: "Alas! What shall we do?" Those who had no eyes to see or any faith in their heart could only see how hopeless their situation was.

"And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them." II Kings 6:16

Elisha told his servant not to fear the king of Assyria or his army, because there were more with Elisha and his servant, than there were with the multitude that had surrounded the city. Elisha's servant probably looked around and saw only Elisha and himself. Up to that time, God had not opened the servant's eyes.

"And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha." II Kings 6:17

In order for Elisha's servant to see the mountain full of God's army, he had to lift his head and open his eyes. When he did, he saw God's miracle of deliverance for His people. When God's people learn not to fear, then the government is no longer a threat to them. God has His army stationed around each of us. His protection outweighs any threat the government can impose upon God's people.

"And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the Lord, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And He smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha." II Kings 6:18

When Elisha prayed, God answered his prayer, and God smote this great army with blindness. Elisha told the army they were going the wrong way, and that he would lead them where they wanted to go. So where did Elisha lead them?

"And it came to pass, when they were come into Samaria, that Elisha said, Lord, open the eyes of these men, that they may see. And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the midst of Samaria." II Kings 6:20

Where did Elisha lead Syria's army? With the help of God, Elisha brought this vast army to Samaria. One man with the power of God captured the whole army of the Syrians. Why do we not witness this kind of miracle in our midst today? It is because God's people do not believe God's Word or the power He has put in His people.

When Elisha brought the army to Samaria, the Lord opened their eyes, but it was too late. They were in captivity. God's people need to open their eyes today before the government takes them totally into captivity. God has forewarned us through the pen of an unknown Psalmist to open our eyes:

"Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of Thy law." Psalm 119:18

God's law is the Word of God, or the Bible. When God tells us to open our eyes, He is speaking about our Spiritual eyes. We need to have Spiritual eyes in the days ahead. God is desiring to reveal His Spiritual meanings in His Word. The prophet Isaiah knew this when he wrote:

"Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink." Isaiah 29:9

Isaiah begins by saying, "Stay yourselves." The word stay means "to tarry or to linger, and to wander, to marvel, or be astonished at God's Word." We are to cry out to God for His understanding. We are to be like those in the upper room on the Day of Pentecost who were accused of being drunk. We are to be drunk on God's Word. Why?

"For the Lord hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath He covered." Isaiah 29:10

Man is still in his Adam sleep. We read in the book of Genesis:

"And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;" Genesis 2:21

God has never awakened man out of this deep sleep. Because of this, man cannot see with his Spiritual eyes. Now and then, God gives us a glimpse of the Spiritual meaning of His Word, and as Isaiah proclaimed, those who spend little time in the Word, the Word, will indeed remain sealed to them.

". . . the prophets, rulers, and seers of the land has He covered."

God has covered the prophets, the rulers and the seers in the church. The word covered means "to hide, conceal, to clothe upon, to protect." Yes, God has awakened His prophets out of their Adam sleep from time to time, to give them a glimpse into the Spiritual meaning of His Word, but as Isaiah goes on to explain:

". . . the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:" Isaiah 29:11

Isaiah spoke of a book that was sealed. What book or books is he speaking of? As we search the Scriptures to reveal these truths, we look first at the writings of Daniel:

"But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased." Daniel 12:4

The words Daniel wrote in a book have been sealed until the time of the end. What are the signs of the time of the end? As Daniel proclaimed,

". . . Many shall run to and fro. . ."

Today, travel has increased to an all time high. Man travels by air, by car, by train, and even to outer space.

What was the other sign to Daniel as being the time of the end?

". . .Knowledge shall be increased. . ."

We live in the day that knowledge has exploded. New ways to communicate are opening daily. Today, about everyone has a cell phone or a blue tooth phone. With these new technologies, we can take pictures and movies, check our email, record text messages and phone numbers. We now have Ipods, Ipads, Blackberries, Jitterbugs, Wi-Fi, and Lord knows what else. The Lord spoke further to Daniel:

"And He said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end." Daniel 12:9

The book of Daniel was sealed till the time of the end. What other book was sealed? The angel spoke to John on the Isle of Patmos:

"And I saw in the right hand of Him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals." Revelation 5:1

The book in the right hand of Him that sat on the throne was written on the front and backside, and was sealed with seven seals. With a little study, we can witness the removal of these seals. When the last seal is removed, then the book will be opened. What does this book contain? Ezekiel was given this same sealed book:

"But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee. And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein. And He spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe." Ezekiel 2:8-10

When the seals are removed, and the book is opened, we discover it contains lamentations, mourning, and woe. This book contains the wrath or judgment of God. Isaiah continues:

"And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed: And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned." Isaiah 29:11 - 12

As Isaiah stated, when this sealed book was given to a learned or educated person, and he was told to read it, he admitted all his learning could not reveal the contents of the book. As we can see, education or the lack of it, cannot reveal the contents of these sealed books. The contents of these books will only be revealed in God's timing, and only by the Holy Spirit anointing. John was given a special promise:

"And I (John) went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter." Revelation 10:9-10

Today, many are looking forward to God's day of wrath, when they think Jesus is going to return and make all things right. They teach this, and it is like honey in their mouths. But when God's wrath is poured out, it is going to be bitterness to their souls. Then God made John a special promise:

"And He said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings." Revelation 10:11

John is still prophesying before all those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. Isaiah continues:

"And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness." Isaiah 29:18

In that day, the deaf will hear the words of the sealed book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and darkness. The word obscurity means "gloom and spiritual unreception." In other words, their Spiritual eyes are going to be opened to what they have missed. Isaiah continued to speak of what the people will see when they are awakened out of their Adam sleep, and their Spiritual eyes are opened:

"Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. And the parched ground shall become a pool and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes." Isaiah 35:5-7

This will be when we enter into God's coming Kingdom Age. Then those who have been blinded by religious doctrine will have their Spiritual eyes opened to the truths of God's Word. Those who have refused to hear, will have their ears unstopped, and they will want to hear the truth. The lame man will leap as a hart (deer). Healing will be by God's hand. The dumb, who cannot speak, will sing like a lark. All the joy that has been locked up inside them will burst forth like a fountain. The wilderness will blossom like a rose, and God will have renewed His earth.

Praise God, we are living in the day that God is removing the seals of His book. Yes, there are tough times ahead, but we have God's promise of better days ahead. At the end of Revelation, God gave John a wonderful promise:

"And He saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand." Revelation 22:10

God is going to unseal His Word so all can know and understand it. This will be for those who open their eyes and let the Holy Spirit have full and free reign in their lives. We witness an example of this when Jesus healed the blind man from Bethsaida:

"And He cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto Him, and besought Him to touch him." Mark 8:22

The name Bethsaida means "house of provision." They brought this man to Jesus to be healed:

"And He took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when He had spit on his eyes, and put His hands upon him, He asked him if he saw ought." Mark 8:23

Jesus took the man out of town. This miracle of healing our Spiritual blindness will be accomplished outside the camp. This will happen when we follow the Lamb wherever He goes. Then Jesus spat on His eyes, and laid hands on him, and asked him what he saw.

"And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking." Mark 8:24

When God first anoints our eyes, we begin to look up. Before all we could do was look down and see the terrible mess this world was in. When we see only with our natural eyes we can only see a blurred vision of men walking as trees. We fail to see their Spiritual need.

"After that He put His hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly." Mark 8:25

The second time God put His hands upon our eyes, then our Spiritual sight will be completely restored so we can see man's Spiritual need.

Another thing that happens to us when our Spiritual sight is completely restored by the anointing of the Holy Spirit is that the Word of God will take on a whole new meaning, as will our whole life. Then Jesus did something many would not understand:

"And He sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town." Mark 8:26

Jesus sent the man away to his house. He also told him to stay away from town, and not tell anyone of his healing. You would think when this man's eyesight was made clear he would have broadcast it to everyone. The word clear means "to see at a distance, or afar off." In other words, this man was given a vision, and he was only to share this vision with his own house. He was not to share this vision with the men of the town. He was only to share this vision with those of his own house (the church).

When our eyes are anointed and we look up, then God can share His vision with us, but as long as we look down, or only at the situations around us, then all we will see is men walking as trees. But when God clears up our vision, we will be able to see clearly what is coming afar off. Then we will be able to share God's plan and purpose with those of our own house (the church).

Nothing is more uplifting than a shared vision. God is desiring our vision to be clear so that we may see the things that are coming upon the earth. God has given us many signs to look for in order to know the day in which we live. Matthew, Mark, and Luke record these signs. Matthew twenty-four records many of these signs. The first three are:

"For many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ and shall deceive many." Matthew 24:5

Today, all over the earth, there are many who claim to be the Christ (the Messiah). These will all prove to be false.

"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." Matthew 24:6

All we hear today is wars and rumors of more wars - - - wars we cannot afford to fight. And yet, we threaten those who disagree with us, with more wars. This is a sign we have seen for a while.

"For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. "Matthew 24:7a

Nations are groups of people. These are called ethnic groups. We witness this with the Moslems, the Buddists, and many other groups. These ethnic groups are constantly at war with each other. Kingdoms are countries. Twenty-five percent of the countries of the world are at war with each other, or threatening war.

". . . and there shall be famines. . ." Matthew 24:7b

Famines are widespread throughout the earth.

". . . and pestilences . . . Matthew 24:7c

Pestilences are diseases. New diseases are springing up all the time, for which there are no cures. Diseases which had been eradicated are raising their ugly heads once again.

". . . and there shall be earthquakes in divers places." Matthew 24:7d

Earthquakes are so frequent, the news only reports the most severe. There are multitudes of earthquakes all over the earth every day. Only the ones which do the most damage get the news media's attention.

The fourth sign is:

"And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many." Matthew 24:11

Today the churches are full of false prophets who claim to be God's true prophets. But these have not been called of God. Then there are those who are called prophets, who have started many false religions and gotten to themselves large followings.

The fifth sign is:

"And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." Matthew 24:12

We see this sign when we hear of girls throwing their newborn babies into garbage bins. We see this sign when we hear of children killing their parents for their insurance, or because they have been corrected. At one time, marriage was considered an holy thing. Now those who only want the physical excitement of marriage just shack up. Then, when the newness is gone, so is what they called `love', but there is no commitment to each other in the relationship.

Added to the fifth sign, we see:

"Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and the children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death." Mark 13:12

Mark goes on to explain that the love of brothers has eroded to where they will betray one another even unto death. This is not only natural brothers, but Spiritual brothers, also. The same is true when fathers turn against their children and children turn against their parents. You may say this is not happening yet, but just wait. The route the government is taking will cause many to betray their families. Beware, because you have been warned.

The sixth sign we read from Luke:

"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring." Luke 21:25

There has been much activity with the sun. Sun flares seem to be getting worse and worse. With man's exploration of space, there is so much debris in the atmosphere, it is causing problems. There is also a fear that some of this debris will crash into our satellites; which would disrupt the world's communication systems, weather forecasting, and Lord knows what else.

We have distress of nations with perplexity. The word distress means "anguish." The nations are in anguish because of their financial systems failing. They do not know how to find solutions to these problems, and they are, indeed, perplexed.

As Mark declared, "The waves of the seas are roaring." Man is definitely perplexed with all the offshore earthquakes causing tsunamis and rough seas. He is perplexed with the ice caps melting, causing the oceans to rise. All these perplex man in our day because man has no way to hold back the destruction of these judgments.

The seventh sign is:

"Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be broken." Luke 21:26

Today, heart failure is the number one killer in America. Many of these are caused by tension, bad food, and fear. The way of life a person lives has much to do with his health. When one hears of fires, floods, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, possible asteroids colliding with earth, and the threat of nuclear destruction, is it any wander people live under tension, and why their hearts are failing?

As Jesus declared, ". . . the powers of heaven shall be shaken. . ."  Heaven is the Spiritual realm, and man's belief in His God is truly being shaken by all the false prophets, false religions, and how the television portrays our God. Luke concludes:

"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." Luke 21:28

When we see all these signs begin to happen, then we need to look up, open our eyes, and lift our heads for God's plan of redemption is at the door.

We need to know that if we are going to fulfill God's Word, we need to look again at Abraham, and know how necessary it is to become totally obedient to God and His Word. When we become totally obedient, then when we look to the north, the south, the east, and the west, everything our eyes can see will be ours as Abraham's seed.

Yes, we must be as Moses. When we come to God's holy ground, we must turn aside or change the way we have walked in the past to receive God's message of deliverance.

We must also be as Elisha's servant. We need to have our eyes opened to see God's protection. An unknown Psalmist wrote:

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help." Psalm 121:1

We will never see or understand the help God has for His people until we lift up our heads and open our eyes. When we do this, we, as Elisha's servant, will see God's supernatural protection He has around His people. Another Psalmist wrote:

"Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens." Psalm 123:1

The Psalmist proclaims those that dwell in the heavens, or those who dwell in the Spiritual realm, need to lift up their eyes and pay homage to their God.

As we begin to check the signs God has given us, and observe the day we live in is the day of God's judgment, then we can begin to see God's hand in everything that is coming upon the earth.

When Paul stood before King Agrippa, God spoke through Paul:

"To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me." Acts 26:18

Paul had met the glorified, Christ Jesus on the road to Damascus, and he stood before the king with all boldness. He told the king to open his eyes, and turn from the darkness that surrounded him unto the light of Christ. This is the message today for all those who are called by His name (Christian). They need to turn from the power of darkness, and let the light of the glorious gospel of truth shine forth in their lives.

This can only happen if they will lift their heads and open their eyes.
