Open Letter to the Body of Christ: Their Souls Were Vexed Day by Day
We are living in the day when there is an all out attack on the name of Jesus, the name of Christ, and Christianity as a whole. The government controlled news agencies and the movie industry have vilified those who represent the name of Christ as moral freaks, and denounce them as enemies of a morally corrupt, degenerate society with their "If it feels good do it" mentality. The morals of this nation are at a negative zero!
Jesus and Mary were not uncommon names in New Testament times. But this makes no difference to the detractors who are out to destroy the name and the mission of Jesus Christ. There have been many attempts to deny the virgin birth of Jesus. Then we have the Da Vinci Code, the Gospel of Judas, and the Gospel of Mary Magdalene. The latest perversion was the three stone caskets that were supposed to contain the bones of Jesus, Mary and Jesus' son. A movie is being made of this fallacy, and the news media has made it one of there main themes. Most do not realize there was another Jesus mentioned in the New Testament.
"And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the Kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me." Colossians 4:11
So, even if they could read the names of those in these caskets, it certainly does not prove who these bones belong to. It would be the same as going to the cemetery and finding the name of John Smith or Bob Jones. It would be the same difference. But the news media needs news, and will report anything to fill their spot on TV.
All the news of today is about a woman of questionable morals who died of a drug overdose, and at least five men claiming he is the father of her infant daughter. What a waste of valuable time.
As we consider the immoral judges and judgments rendered by them, we wonder what has happened to the constitution that had been faithfully followed until the Supreme Court found it necessary to make their own interpretations, instead of what the founding fathers intended. When the supreme court legalized the murder of our unborn children, the whole demeanor of the nation changed from one that valued life - - - born and unborn - - - to where we accept murder in any form as a way of life.
This nation has killed over six times more of our unborn than were killed in the holocaust. And yet we call Hitler a mad man. When the sanctity of the home is destroyed, then the backbone of the nation is destroyed, and is destined for decline, decay, and fall.
Television has destroyed the male image in the mind of the women, the children, and the world in general. Today so called sitcoms have made the male head of the family look like a fool, a wimp, and an incompetent boob, and the wife or disobedient child seems to have all the answers. Many of these sitcoms show the American home as having a couple who are only living together or having more than one mate, and life is displayed as just one wild romp in the bedroom.
The advertising on television is one of satanic suggestion. Because of the graphical portrayal of explicit sex and suggestive, lude remarks, it has become almost impossible to watch a wholesome, uplifting movie. Most movies permitted on television are rated Pg, Pg 13 or R. These movies display scenes that could previously only be seen at a stag party. Showing scenes in the bedroom is not good enough any more. To be acceptable, sex now has to be perverted. Homosexuality on television has become an acceptable alternate life style which is being taught in our schools as early as the third grade level. Christians send their children to these schools, where they are perverted with these teachings. Evolution is taught as fact. Drug use is rampant. Even the teachers are having sex with the students. An unknown Psalmist wrote:
"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful." Psalm 1:1
Yet Christians send their children to a system which is designed to unteach what is taught in the home. This has perverted the faith this nation was founded on. The clothing the children wear today is either sloppy or suggestive. Teens and preteens alike try to emulate what they see on the television of what is advertized as being the "In Thing" to wear. What they see on television is the breast and buttox uncovered to where there is no need for imagination. This disgraceful display is vulgar and disgusting. Magazines are no better. What is shown at the check out counter in stores makes us wonder how much worse things can get before a righteous, uncompromising God has had enough.
We also watch the house of cards our economic system has become with an over-inflated stock market and a decreasing dollar the world has lost confidence in. We wonder what the repercussion and reaction is going to be when Christians have their investments and securities evaporate like a puff of smoke. If they have not learned to trust God, who are they going to trust when their stock is worthless, and the dollar is no longer accepted as a means of trade? Lives are about to be turned upside down. All who believe paper money is wealth are only deceiving themselves. There is nothing backing the dollar - - - no gold, no silver - - - only a federal counterfeited note.
The political system is corrupt and dishonest as it puts us deeper and deeper into debt everyday. Last year the trade deficit was eighty billion dollars from foreign suppliers. This means the United States bought eighty billion dollars more than it sold to foreign markets. Anyone with a grain of sense knows this cannot continue. The national debt is at an unprecedented eight trillion plus dollars. The cost of its unwinnable, unnecessary military conflicts plunge the American people deeper and deeper into red ink everyday, and there is no end in sight. The military is depleted of men, machines, and weapons of war. Worn out equipment and men cannot do the job, especially when the head of the armed forces will not listen to advice given by those who are trained in military tactics.
Politics have degenerated to the point where the majority of the people do not trust them, nor do they believe them. Yet we have those who preach Christians should get involved in this degenerate way of life. Christians who get involved in politics either must become part of the corruption, or they are shoved back in a corner, unable to do anything. Then they are called "Do Nothing Politicians" and are generally voted out of office, scarred by their experience.
Christians need to read God's Word. The Roman government was one of the most corrupt governmental systems on earth - - - that is, until this present day. The Roman government was in power when Jesus came to earth, yet Jesus did not send a committee to Rome to get a better deal for His people. Instead He taught people to rise above the man-made systems. His words were:
"Jesus answered, My Kingdom is not of this world: if My Kingdom were of this world, then would My servants fight," John 18:36
And many well-meaning Christians believe we should fight for this worldly kingdom to try to change it to become acceptable to Jesus. How foolish and misled they have become! The political system has failed the people in so many ways, they are too numerous to mention. The trade deals they have put in place have cost millions of jobs.
No longer can most homes exist without two incomes, taking the mothers out of the home, while the children grow up without proper parental guidance. This leads to teenage crime, drug and alcohol abuse, unwanted pregnancies, abortion, and suicide. We hear much about child abuse. When there is no parental guidance in a child's life, this is the worse case of child abuse. God did not give children to the community or government to raise. He gave them parents and He expects them to do their God-given job.
Open borders have added to the crime rate. Prisons are full of illegal aliens, and there is no correction in sight. The problem only grows worse, while Washington sets on their hands at their cocktail parties, wondering how they will raise enough money from an ill-informed public to pay for their re-election.
Today we hear much about global warming and the effects of El Nino, and other phenomenon. We wonder why the weather patterns are changing with record snow falls, floods, land slides, droughts, tornados, hurricanes, and high winds. The weather patterns are changing all over the earth. Where there should be snow, there is little or none. The same with rainfall. So what is the cause? The Psalmist Asaph gives us the answer:
"They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course." Psalm 82:5
The people walk on in darkness, because they have forsaken the light the gospel sheds on every situation. As Asaph described, "All the foundations of the earth are out of course." When the Tsunami hit in 2004, the earth was sifted on its axis. Magnetic North changed, and the earth became out of course. Because the earth's foundation is out of course, we are having ever-increasing, extreme weather changes.
This is God's warning to His people to wake up. As this is written, tornados have hit the center of this nation, causing death and destruction. Again God is giving us warning after warning concerning the days ahead. The Apostle Paul wrote to the Ephesians:
"Wherefore He saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light." Ephesians 5:14
It is time God's people wake up to the fact, and consider the day in which we live. God's judgment hand is upon this nation and the world. God is not warning us to have us panic. He is warning us so that we will draw close to Him. Many need to cast off their religious spirit and come to the true Word of God, devoid of all precepts and doctrines of man. Put off the false teachings of the Rapture, Once-saved, always saved, Ultimate Reconciliation, and all other teachings not founded in the Bible.
As the end of this age draws to a close, God has promised us a New Day, a day when God's Kingdom will be set up on the earth, a day when He will rule and reign with those who have overcome the old man nature and have entered into His rest. As the prophet Isaiah declared:
"Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee." Isaiah 60:1
God is looking for His remnant, His little flock, to usher them into His Kingdom. Look up! Our redemption truly draweth nigh! Praise the Lord!
