I give to You
As an act of my worship,

Thoughts unredeemed
Pains not spoken

Life's little dramas
All the enemy's tokens.

I give to You
As an act of my worship,

Life's little foxes
That spoil the vine

Crafty and sly
As they devour my time.

I give to You
As an act of my worship,

Things I hold on to
That I know I should skirt.

Not profitable to me,
They are all to my hurt.

I give to You
As an act of my worship,

The longing in my heart
For the harmony that You intend,

A total redemption
Of a heart that did bend.

I give to You
As an act of my worship,

Faith in my Savior
That my way He surpasses

And hope for the day
He trades me beauty for ashes.
