What Did You Hear?

Oh Father just for a moment
Let us see through your eyes
What would make you send Jesus
As all heaven stands and cries'.

Did the heavens grow dim
As You sent the Son of Light,
To a world plunged in darkness
Given wholly to the night?

Please let us hear
With God given ear's
The sound that would drive You
To forsake the Son of Light.

What did you hear
Before the world began,
That reduced the King of Glory
To simply son of man?

Make us understand
For what we need to pray
For we need your heart, oh God
As You usher in Your day

Listen closely
To this truth from above
It is really quite simple
I heard the sound of love!
