Lord help me to put You on each day
And wear You like a glove.

May my life incased in You
Caress this world with love.

May the beauty of Your love
Be seen as well as felt.

May the warmth that comes from You
Cause icy hearts to melt.

Hearts that hide behind a front;
A wall of bitter pride,

Let me wear this glove so well
That Your healing balm is applied.

A simple touch, embrace or smile
If given through the power of Your love;

Dissolves in an instant fortified walls
And knits together the hearts of all.

As I think what this world would profit
If each morning we would put You on

Before one season changed to another
We would be seated at the foot of Your throne
