How can I be saved?

This is the question the keeper of the prison asked Paul and Silas in the books of Acts.

Sirs, what must I do to be saved?  Acts 16:30

When the keeper of the prison asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"  Paul and Silas said,  

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ,

and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."  

Acts 16:31
