Elderberry Capsules or Syrup with Cinnamon

Take as soon as you have been exposed to the flu, and also if you have already contacted the flu, it helps chills, fever, cough, and sore throat.  It also lessens the time of confinement.

Yarrow, Elder Flower, Peppermint Combo

a classic flu remedy fights chills and fever
        Don't use yarrow if you have undiagnosed bleeding or if your pregnant.

Grapefruit Seed Extract - GSE

Stomach flu - protozoal parasites respond well 3 - 5 drops of GSE in glass of water each day

Lemon Balm

makes a flavorful and mildly sedative tea to aid in opening the pores to reduce fevers produced by flu and chest colds. Mix with honey and vinegar, steeped in water, then strained for a gargle for sore, inflamed throats

Catnip and Elder Flower Combo

Its pleasant taste and gentle action makes it good for treating children's colds, flu and fevers. It is more effective when used in conjunction with elderflower.  Catnip is excellent in removing mucous from the respiratory passages.

Boneset Tea Flu Preventive

when one is exposed to the threat of colds and flu, you will hardly ever get a cold if you use boneset tea on a daily basis. Steep 1 Tablespoon in 1 cup boiling water for 30-35 mintues. Mix with mild spearmint or peppermint tea to effectively break up common cold.   For cold or flu preventative, steep fresh or dried boneset leaves in cold water for 6 - 12 hours, and take a cold quarter cup twice a day.

Echinacea Flu Preventive

Prevents colds and flu. Begin early Autumn as a preventative or as soon as you know you will come in contact with flu viruses

Juniper Berry Flu Remedy Combo Tea

Juniper berries, coltsfoot, lance leaf plantain, elder flowers, willow bark. Mix in = parts. Steep 1 tsp in 1/2 cup boiling water. Take 1/2 to 1 cup a day, sweetened with honey in mouthful doses.  Caution:  Do not ue Juniper Berries if you have gastritis, ulcers, or other stomach problems.

Ginger Tea or Capsules

Excellent for the aches and pains of the flu and colds

promotes perspiration as a teatment for colds, flu, and fevers. It is also used in baths and inahalations to clear lungs and bronchial passages
